Along with the powers review, Perks are getting some love in the super power pack. This is a list of some of the upcoming additions and fixes coming your way!

• Title sorting!
Something I’ve wanted to do for awhile with the ever-increasing number of titles available to players is finally in! Titles are now sorted alphabetically by default. But wait, there’s more! You can search! Typing into the search box will dynamically bring up results as you type, and also allow for sub-string search. e.g. typing “foo” into the search box would match both “Foo bar” and “Bar foo”, rather than just “Foo bar”. Cookies for our UI programmer can be sent to the front office

• Loremaster Perks give points and titles!
All the Loremaster Perks will give out 200 perk points and the following titles:
“Crowned in Glory” for the Crowns of Krim
“Alien Invader” for the Istvatha V’Han
“Supreme Serpent” for VIPER
“Edomite “for the Kings of Edom
“Destroyer of Worlds” for Dr. Destroyer
“Mechanical Revolution” for Mechanon
“Perfect Being” for Teleios

• Numerics for Perks that were missing their points!
The following now award points. Players who already earned these perks will have the points granted to their totals. Included are:

• New Perks!
New perks for players who keep coming back for more even in the face of the most bitter defeat. Expect multiple ranks, new icons and new titles!
-Known Issue: New Icons are on their way, but not in yet.

• Perks Reorganization
Signature Villains and Character related perks (Leveling, Roles, Defeats) have been moved to their own categories
-Known Issue: not all of the sigs may be over in their new home yet

• Numerous fixes!
Included in the update are fixes for: Some of the Lore items not registering when they were interacted with, and some items having been crushed by Geometry or moved out of position, which prevented lore from being completed. A few of the Sigs had been cut (but their perks hadn’t) right before launch and they’re back in (Hi Pan, I’m looking at you!). A few Sig kill perks weren’t registering with the system and now will. I also fixed the Great Demon, Demons, Netherdemon issue; Long story short, you’ve been killing Great Demons all this time, so the rewards for Demons and Netherdemons are now associated with the Great Demon perks (including the costume pieces and the titles!)

This isn’t an exhaustive list, just some of the big issues.

So that’s good a snapshot of what’s new for you guys. We’ve got some additional goodness coming down the line soon too! If you see something funky on the PTS, please let me know here.

State of the Game: April 5, 2010

Hot dang, it looks like things are really cooking over at Cryptic.  As Poz just posted in his State of the Game <cue presidential music>there are huge changes in store over the next few months.

The Supernatural and Melee reviews are due to hit the PTS in April, along with improvements to teaming.  As if that weren’t enough, the first Adventure Pack comes in late May, early June, as a sweet sweet desert.

Ask Cryptic: Supernatural Review

When Cryptic detailed its Supernatural Power review, it dangled many carrots and left the players drooling for more details.  Ask Cryptic allowed the players to wring those details from the developers, one juicy drop at a time.  Follow on and savor the results!
